Stratford is at 5 Aquatics Walk inside Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – the obvious choice if you’re making a day of the park, heading to London Stadium, or using QEOP as your east London base. Waterloo is at Arch 16 on Leake Street, inside the graffiti tunnel, and it’s ideal for post-work or anything south of the river.

Four Games That Work With a Drink in Your Hand

Wavelength is almost purpose-built for this. One player gives a clue to place a hidden target on a spectrum – “Hot to Cold”, and they say “volcano” – and everyone else argues about where the dial actually sits. Two minutes to learn. Generates enormous, entirely unnecessary disagreement. Gets better as the afternoon goes on.

Spot It! is for when you want chaos. Every card shares exactly one symbol with every other card and you race to spot it. Frantic, fast, and completely fair on beginners because it needs no knowledge at all, just fast eyes.

Herd Mentality asks you to think like everyone else. “Name a yellow food.” Match the majority and you score. Be the odd one out and you get the pink cow. You do not want the pink cow. This game causes more genuine argument than anything else in the library.

Articulate if you want teams. Split the group, start the timer, describe as many words as you can without saying them. Within thirty seconds someone will be shouting across the table. Classic for a reason.

Who It’s For

Anyone with a group, honestly. But a few things it does particularly well:
