Start the Night at Draughts

Draughts is a bar, board game kitchen and lounge inside Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – about a ten-minute walk from the stadium gates. No buses. No Ubers. Just a stroll through the park.

Get here mid-afternoon, grab a table with your group, and do the pre-gig thing properly. Real food from a real kitchen. Cocktails, beers, pitchers for the table. Over 1,000 board games if you want to kill time before gates open (and yes, people absolutely do play a quick round of Codenames before heading to a concert – it happens more than you’d think).

You’ll be fed, relaxed and in the mood by the time you walk over. No queueing at vans, no overpriced stadium food, no stress.

What's on the Menu

We’re not a grab-and-go counter. You get a table, you order properly, and you get drinks brought to you.

The kitchen runs a full menu built for groups – loaded nachos, double smashed burgers, Korean fried chicken, birria tacos, halloumi fries, and sharers designed for exactly this kind of evening. Cocktail pitchers start at £25.95 for the table. Espresso martinis are practically mandatory.

After the Show: The Smart Move

Here’s what happens when the lights come up: 80,000 people flood toward Stratford station at the same time. The queue for the Central line wraps around the concourse. The Jubilee line isn’t much better. Everyone’s buzzing from the show but nobody’s going anywhere fast.

Enjoy the gig!

We had an absolutely fab time here today. Ambience, food and choice of games were excellent. We were so well looked after. As a board game fan, we can say this is a really great place to have a good time 🙂 will be back soon!
